Duties and Responsibilities of a Corporate Mine Engineer include:
- Ability to mentor junior/less senior technical personnel
- A progressive work experience
- Operating experience in underground and open pit operations
- Strong general knowledge in all aspects of mining
- Skilled in mine planning/scheduling software (Deswik), Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project scheduling software
- Experience in development of Mineral Reserves
- Project work (mine studies, construction projects)
- Supervision of technical teams and consultants
Qualifications
- A licensed member of good standing with the PEO, or the ability to become a licensed member of the PEO
- A minimum work experience of between 7 to 12 years
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to travel for an extended period if required (2+ weeks)
